About underfloor heating
Underfloor heating is generated by warm water circulating through a series of heating pipes. It has many benefits including aesthetics - there are no clumsy-looking radiators taking up valuable wall space. It can also be up to 25% cheaper to operate than a traditional radiator system.
Contrary to many people's expectations, underfloor heating is actually very good for wooden floors. This is because it ensures a constant ambient temperature over the whole surface of the floor, eliminating hot spots around radiators and pipes, which can be damaging to the floor.
